Text Box: The First Lady of New Grove Baptist Church is a native of Miami Florida, graduating from Florida A & M University with a Bachelors in Nursing and became a Registered Nurse in Florida, Kentucky and Georgia.  She is a graduate of Northwestern High School in Miami and currently serves as a musician for regular services and pianist for the Gospel Choir at New Grove Baptist.  She is the mother of one son, three daughters and one grand-son.

Additionally, First Lady Washington coordinates the new members orientation classes and continues to be the chief supporter to the pastor in education, music and outreach programs.  Guided by a kind gentle spirit, First Lady Washington is an inspiration to many in the church family and community.  
  
In the private sector, The First Lady works as an RN Team Leader  for the Clarke County Health Department in Athens Georgia.  Her major responsibilities include:  Child Health / WIC Programs including preventive health and maintenance health, counseling, physical exams, hearing & vision screenings, infants & children immunizations, & scoliosis follow-up.  Nutrition counseling & health education to women (prenatal and post-partum), infants & children.
 
Additional nursing services The First Lady has performed include an expanded role in Reproductive Health, Child Health, Adult Health, Teen Health and STD Services.  With the Midwifery Clinic (Athens Regional Hospital - Athens Georgia), the First Lady worked with Prenatal Services. 

The First Lady of New Grove is known for her supportive service to the church, community, agencies and friendly advise to parishioners, friends and collegiate's.  She is truly a devoted wife and mother.
